Ardnamurchan Single Malt

Ardnamurchan Single Malt is a Scottish single malt whiskey from the Ardnamurchan Distillery. Produced near Fort William in Scotland, Ardnamurchan Single Malt was first released in 2018 and is made using traditional methods in small batches.

The whiskey is made from malt barley, which is malted (processed to give it a bitter taste) and dried over local whisky peat. The whisky is then matured in American Oak casks, which give it a slightly sweet character.

The whiskies unique character comes from its geographic locality; the Ardnamurchan peninsula has a unique and varied topography and a distinct mountain climate which serves as the perfect home for producing such a unique and high-quality whiskey.

Ardnamurchan Single Malt has a delicate flavor with soft earthy tones, notes of dried fruit, dark chocolate, and a hint of smoke. On the palate, it displays rich buttery tones, baking spice, and a hint of caramel. The finish has a pleasant smokiness with a slightly sweet fruitiness,which lingers for several minutes after.
