Ardbeg Corryvreckan

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is an award-winning single malt Scotch whisky produced by Ardbeg Distillery on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. It is bottled at cask strength, usually at 57.1% abv, and has a deep, smoky flavor which is balanced with sweet, spice and apple notes.

The whisky takes its name from the Corryvreckan whirlpool, a spectacular natural phenomenon off the coast of the island. It is found in a unique seawater-flavored malt, aged in a combination of first-fill and re-fill ex-parable and first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, and steadily bottled at 57.1% abv since 2004.

The whisky has received numerous awards from the 'World Whiskies Awards', including the 'Best Islay Whisky' in 2008, 2010 and 2013. It has also won 'World’s Best Single Malt' twice in 2009 and 2011, and was named 'Best Scotch Whisky' in 2010 and 2012.
