The Diaoyutai State Guest house was originally built as the residence of the Emperor of China in the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). The liquor is highly sought after for use as a gifting item or for celebratory events such as wedding ceremonies. Diaoyutai State Guest Liquor is brewed in accordance with the traditional methods of rice-based liquor production.
