DISARONNO is a popular Italian liqueur that has been around since 1525. The liqueur initially had medicinal properties, but it soon became a popular alcoholic beverage all over Europe. It is now sold in over 160 countries and is the number one selling Italian liqueur in the world. DISARONNO's signature flavor is its sweet, creamy Amaretto taste. It is made using an infusion of apricot kernel oil and the purest extracts of 17 herbs and fruits, including bitter and sweet almonds, burnt sugar, and vanilla, among many others. The mixture is then aged in wooden barrels giving it its characteristic amber color. It is also commonly served neat, over ice, or in a variety of cocktails. DISARONNO has had many celebrity endorsements over the years. It was the drink of choice for the late Gianni Versace, who in 1988 named it the Versace drink. It has also been featured in movies such as Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in which it is featured as a potion.
