Fireball Whisky Liqueur is an American cinnamon-flavored liqueur produced by the Sazerac Company. It is a blend of Canadian whisky, cinnamon flavoring and sweeteners that is produced in Canada. The product’s flavor is reminiscent of the flavored whiskey cake shot popularized by the band Jem. It is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Finland, Isreal and Mexico. Fireball Whisky Liqueur has a flavor described as having a strong cinnamon taste, like a "red hot" candy. The liqueur is 73 proof, which is about 36% in alcohol content by volume, making it slightly weaker than other typical liqueurs. It is often enjoyed as a straight shot, but can also be used as an anointing agent to recipes such as Hot toddies and Moscow Mules, as well as in baked goods. The flavor and popularity of this liqueur has been growing steadily since its debut in the late 1980's, and Fireball has become a go-to shot at bars and parties alike.
