FREAKSHOW wine is a popular brand of California-style wines produced in the Lodi appellation of California’s Central Valley region. The brand is owned by Michael David Winery and was created to provide something a little different in the California wine world. FREAKSHOW wines have interesting labels featuring abstract caricatures of famous sideshow performers. They are also known for their bold, in your face flavor profiles that aren’t typical of California wines. FREAKSHOW wines include a Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Grenache, and a Petite Sirah blend. The Chardonnay is a medium-bodied wine with flavors of grilled pineapple, apple, and a hint of oak. The Cabernet Sauvignon is a big, bold red with juicy flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and roasted nuts. The Zinfandel delivers flavors of black cherry, boysenberry, and dark chocolate with smooth tannins. The Tempranillo is a medium-bodied red with flavors of plum, fig, and spice.
