The Garzon Cabernet Franc Tannat is a special blend of two amazing grape varieties. This delicious blend combines Cabernet Franc with the more unique grape variety called tannat. The Cabernet Franc grapes come from Brazil’s oldest and most respected vineyard, Santa Barbara. This region produces the highest quality Cabernet Franc grapes available. These grapes have intense aromas of blackberry, cassis, and a floral, herbal note. The fruit is well balanced, and the tannins are soft but structured. The element of tannat, the second grape variety in this blend, comes from Uruguay’s newest winery, Garzon. This winery was established in 2006, and is located in the remote Ometepe region of the country. Tannat is Uruguay's signature grape variety and produces intense, concentrated, yet approachable wines. It has dark fruit flavors of plum, blackberry, dark cherry and a hint of spice. This grape variety also has bold, structured tannins, and a long, smooth finish.
