Mezcal Derrumbes Zacatecas 2024 (45%)

Derrumbes as a brand is a journey through Mexico via mezcal, with each expression hand-selected to represent a different state's history, traditions and terroir. Owned by Esteban Morales, one of the country's premier experts on agave spirits, with a true curiosity and dedication to the traditions of agave spirits. The Zacatecas expression is produced just 5 minutes outside of the Tequila Denomination of Origin, and uses the same blue weber agave people are used to seeing in tequila production. This is a rare opportunity to taste blue weber agave, prepared as one would expect a traditional mezcal to be done, with the agave being cooked in an underground pit with black and white oak.
