Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve is a unique and very limited-edition release from independent bottler Black Tot. It was created by Master Blender Richard Paterson, who dedicated over two decades of research into vintage spirits and blending techniques to perfect this special release. Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve is a unique blend of whisky and rum aged in ex-bourbon casks for at least 10 years to develop a complex, layered flavour profile. The whisky component of the blend is mainly sourced from the Scottish highlands and isle of Islay, while rum from English Carribean is used for balance and depth. The flavour profile of the Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve is duly complex and intense, with notes of rich honey, dark chocolate, orange peel and ripe figs. The finish is long and warming with a pleasant lingering sweetness. The Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve is offered as a very limited edition release in a striking black decanter. It is best enjoyed straight from the bottle, although it can also be enjoyed on the rocks to bring out its best attributes.
